Does CMPS Require Recertification Every Year?

Yes. In the second and subsequent years of membership with the CMPS Institute, members are required to take and pass 4 hours of CMPS-approved continuing education. This is in addition to the 8 hours of NMLS-Approved SAFE Act education that many originators are required to take. This goes above and beyond minimum licensing standards and sets you apart from the competition. Continuing education courses are available in the CMPS members-only web portal, the CMPS Exchange™. All the required continuing education (including the 8 hours of NMLS-Approved SAFE Act CE) is included with your membership renewal and there is no additional charge for the continuing education hours.

What if I Don’t Have a Lot of Time on My Hands to Implement CMPS?

What are you currently spending your time on and are you happy with the results? CMPS requires 30 minutes per day to implement. If you are not willing to make the changes in your schedule necessary to free up 30 minutes per day, then CMPS is not right for you.

What if I Can’t Afford CMPS Right Now?

If you seriously can’t afford to invest $69/month in your business right now, during the lowest interest rate environment in mortgage history, then you should consider getting out of the business. If you are convinced that CMPS can help you, but you are not willing to invest $69/month in yourself, you may not be passionate enough to succeed in this business.
